2011 Hello and Welcome

Being the first day of 2011 (In Australia at least) and for once sans the hangover, I thought that starting a blog on films, blu-ray and dvd (as the blog title suggests) would be a great way to start the year. You can expect the odd review, the even more odd thoughts on film (and some TV) as well as some surprises along the way (the good kind and not 'The Crying Game' style surprise), with a slant towards the darker side of cinema. Anyway I'll keep it short for the first one out of the gun and come back with a surprise to start the new year.
