The worst (fictional) places to live

You may love or loathe your current city or town.

However I can guarantee you it'll probably be better than the next list of the worst cities in the movies to live in. Whilst some of these cities aren't fictional by name, they certainly would be shit places to live. 

Gotham City

Seriously, Gotham City. Ineffectual police, abject poverty, a reclusive billionaire with a stranglehold on the city and an endless stream of crazy, blood thirsty criminals. Seemingly not a year goes by without citizens of Gotham being held captive as pawns in a battle between Batman and the bad guys. Which also leads me to note that without Batman it might just be a shit place to live. With Batman it is now also dangerous. On the upside if you are criminally insane Arkham Asylum seems like a very easy place to escape from.

Detroit

I'm lead to believe that Detroit was once a very rich city riding on the back of the auto industry. Since then though its gone pretty bad.

First off - OCP ran the city. They owned everything, including the cops. Speaking of which if you were unlucky enough to be a cop in Detroit then undoubtedly you'd be shot to pieces and rebuilt as Robocop. Not bad i hear you say - well unfortunately you also had your memories of your previous human life to haunt you. If you were a citizen of the city then you weren't even safe in your own house on the Devil's Night.   Having said that, if you were killed you could come back as a  vengeance filled undead being, still you'd be kind of depressed all the time too.

Springwood

What a beautiful town, a suburban paradise....

Oh except for paedophile and child killer Freddy Kruger.

After the parents offed Mr Kruger, he got back at them by killing their kids in their dreams.

So apart from the horrible buried secrets of this town, like what happened to Fred's mother, this is just a great place to live, if you're an adult.

It would suck being a teen in this town.
