Review - Hotel Transylvania

Horror and its monsters have provided as many laughs as scares in their history and Hotel Transylvania certainly plays them for laughs.
Hotel Transylvania is a refuge for monsters trying to escape the prying eyes (and pitchforks) of humans, (the staff are zombies, the cleaning ladies are witches) but when a backpacker accidentally stumbles on this hotel, the owner of the hotel - Count Dracula (Adam Sandler) goes into a spin, desperately trying to hide the human from his guests and daughter at all costs.
A very cute film, that has all the schmaltz of a Disney cartoon but hides it behind some very funny characters and great ideas. The main theme of the film is letting go, whether it be letting go of a daughter to let her grow up or letting go of control and having fun, which is a nice message.
Meet the Fockers - Monster Style
All the voice choices are great, even Sandler who puts on a voice we have all heard him do before really does a great job as the Count.
I am not really going to delve to deeply into this one as it is a really good popcorn flick that has something for the kids and the parents. Just monster fun!
